Turtle Bay – Head of People

Location: Bristol Broad Quay, Office-based 3-4 days a week and as required. With some travel across the UK and working from home as and when needed.


We’re on the lookout for a bold, emotionally intelligent, and people-first Head of People to lead our People strategy across Turtle Bay.

About the Role

As Head of HR, you’ll lead our People strategy across the business, shaping culture, driving organisational effectiveness, and ensuring that our values are at the centre of everything we do. You’ll oversee all aspects of the People function, from talent acquisition and development through to engagement, ER, compliance, and reward.


You’ll partner with senior leaders to deliver a people agenda that supports business growth, enhances employee experience, and strengthens Turtle Bay as a great place to work. You’ll also develop and mentor a talented HR, Talent Acquisition and Training and Development team, empowering them to deliver excellence across their specialisms while working as one connected function.


From culture to compliance, and strategy to support, you’ll lead and influence every area of the employee lifecycle. You’ll empower our leaders to lead brilliantly, drive consistency across the business, and keep fairness, integrity, and connection at the heart of all decision-making.


You’ll bring a balanced blend of heart and head: emotionally intelligent, highly organised, and commercially sharp. You’ll know when to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, and when to challenge, coach, or step back and let others lead.


You’ll report directly to the CEO.


Above all, you’ll bring the spirit of Turtle Bay to life—leading with warmth, clarity, and care.
