The Talent and Development Partner is pivotal in Team and Manager training and development. They are Turtle Bay champions, ambassadors of standards, cocktail stars, and custodians of people development.
This role forms an interdependent working relationship with our Operations Managers and Training Teams to deliver industry-leading management training and support business and guest needs. No one is the senior; it is a partnership; the Regional Operations Manager is accountable for their people and regions.
They train and embed our Turtle Bay ways of working and One Love to ensure our purpose is met. The Talent and Development Partner is a natural Restauranteur with natural hospitality and an eye for detail that makes a difference when training our management teams.
They protect Pathway and development while working with the People Partner to ensure succession in the region with a constant pipeline of talent and future managers. They work closely with the Regional Kitchen Trainers to align with business and guest needs to deliver Caribbean Good Times every day, all day.
The Talent and Development Partner is responsible for delivering the Talent and Development strategy and seeking knowledge across all areas of the people function.
This role involves handling confidential data, whether personal information or dealing with a sensitive issue raised by a team member; therefore, a professional and discreet approach is required.
The Talent and Development Partner will report to the Head of Talent and Development.

Regional Partnership - Working with the Operations Managers to identify where the needs are in each region for developing our management teams and future leaders. Helping to educate our teams and guests that ‘magical experience’ and ‘rum is in our blood’!
Operational Standards - Working in site alongside the restaurant management team to improve all aspects of service and standards within their department.
Succession and Talent Management - Working closely with the Operations Manager to identify the skills needed in the regional houses to train and coach new managers. Ensure these sites are supported, and performance is reviewed regularly.
Training Material - Ensuring all printed and digital training material is aligned with the Turtle Bay business plan and the business needs.
Policies - Driving our equal opportunities policies to ensure we deliver development fairly and equally across a diverse workforce.
Hours/Location:
The role is remotely based. You will be required to travel to sites as part of your role; approximately 80% of your working time is spent in your restaurants. We need to be visible on sites for our teams when they need us.
Periodically, you may be required to visit the Support Centre for 1-2-1s, meetings, or team events.
You are expected to work five days a week (occasionally, we may need an extra day here and there depending on business needs) and will sometimes be required to work evenings and weekends.
Your contracted hours of work are 48 hours per week. We will operate a 2/2/1, 3/2 or 4/1 schedule. You will agree to your schedule with the Head of Talent & Development Manager one month in advance. The role requires overnight stays and evening work.
