Job description
Production Kitchen Manager
Turtle Bay
Production Kitchen Manager – Central Production Kitchen, Bristol
Competitive salary | Monday to Friday role | Relocation package available
Every plate that leaves a Turtle Bay restaurant starts here. Our Central Production Kitchen in Bristol is the beating heart of our business. It’s where our recipes come to life at scale, where consistency is built, and where the standards that define us across every restaurant are set. Now we’re looking for an exceptional leader to run it.
Why Turtle Bay?
Turtle Bay is a great place to work. We’re a vibrant, people-first business with big personality, bold flavours and a team that genuinely enjoys what it does. We believe in recognising talent, rewarding hard work and giving our people the space to grow. Along with a competitive salary, you’ll be joining a business that values its people and invests in their success.
Is this you?
You’re an experienced kitchen leader with a minimum of two years’ experience in a production kitchen environment, ready to take the lead in a role that powers a whole restaurant group. You understand food production at volume and know what it takes to deliver quality and consistency every single day.
A different kind of kitchen leadership:
This isn’t a restaurant kitchen role. You’ll coordinate the whole production operation, communicate clearly with everyone who depends on it, and make things happen without needing constant direction. If you take ownership, think ahead and love seeing the bigger picture come together, this is where you’ll thrive.
What you’ll bring:
- A minimum of two years’ production kitchen experience, ideally in a leadership role.
- Strong communication skills, particularly with restaurants, operations and development teams.
- Confidence dealing directly with suppliers, challenging issues and following them through to resolution.
- The ability to think independently, make sensible decisions and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong production planning and organisation, including responding quickly when volumes or restaurant requirements change.
- Tight control of labour, stock, yields, waste and production costs.
- A disciplined approach to food safety, allergens, traceability and quality control.
- A problem-solving mindset, taking ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
- Confidence using data and systems to plan production and spot problems early.
- The ability to build and lead a reliable, high-performing team.
Why this role is different:
This is a Monday to Friday role. Your evenings and weekends are yours. You keep the challenge, the pace, and the pride of a professional kitchen, and you get your life back. Family dinners, weekends away, Saturday nights out: it’s all back on the table.
We’ll back you all the way:
Joining a new business in a role like this is a big move, and you won’t be doing it alone. The successful candidate will receive full support and guidance to settle in, grow into the role, and thrive.
Relocation:
Not based near Bristol? Don’t let that stop you. A relocation package is available for the right candidate.
Ready to power the whole operation?
Opportunities like this don’t come around often. If you’re ready to become the engine room of the engine room, we’d love to hear from you.
It's a lot of fun!
