Marketing Executive


What is the purpose of the role?


This role is all about supporting our restaurant teams with local marketing activity – supporting them and empowering them to drive awareness and improve their sales.


A big part of this is role will be stakeholder and relationship management – you’ll work closely with General Managers and Operations Managers as well as the wider Marketing team to support brand level campaigns and activity.


A background in digital marketing (SEO / Web / Social) is beneficial as this forms the core of the activity you’ll manage – but you will work across the full marketing mix – including print and events, so it’s a really varied role.


Key Attributes



  • 1+ year’s experience in a similar B2C marketing role, with a strong understanding of the full marketing mix and customer purchase funnel.
  • We’re looking for someone who is full of energy and a complete self-starter.
  • You should be a people-person who is passionate about helping our restaurants drive sales whilst giving our guests the best experience possible. This role is the face of the marketing department and a real brand champion
  • You’ll need a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to know what metrics to consider when looking at the success of our activity, how to show ROI and what we can do to improve this.
  • It’s a fast-paced role so you’ll need to be highly organised, able to plan ahead, prioritise and work to deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience working in hospitality is desirable but not required
  • Passionate about Turtle Bay and be willing to learn


This role reports directly into the Digital Marketing Manager, but will also work closely with the Head of Marketing.

Your Key Responsibilities:


Restaurant Marketing Support


You will be the marketing point of contact for our restaurant teams, supporting them with successful local marketing activity that drives results. This includes:



  • Management of the Local Marketing inbox – reviewing requests for local marketing support and liaising with restaurant teams to understand requirements and aims and create appropriate local marketing plans
  • Manage the full end-to-end process of all local marketing requests from ideation to reporting – including local promotions, local SEO and local events
  • ·Tracking and reporting on all activity, proving ROI and suggesting improvements to ensure we continue to see results
  • Acting as a leader to our restaurant teams when it comes to marketing strategy, offering training and workshops with teams and attending regional meetings where relevant
  • Work with the graphic designers on asset creation and continual improvement of our local marketing creative
  • Working with local and regional third parties to develop relevant opportunities
  • PR agency liaison to secure coverage on a local level
  • Co-ordinating of marketing activity to support our opening of new restaurants
  • Presenting viable business opportunities to improve sales on a local or national level


Events



  • Support with the planning and execution of ad hoc local events that drive trial and awareness
  • Identifying and proposing relevant event opportunities
  • Liaising with third parties to collaborate on events


App, Email & CRM


  • Planning, briefing and executing communications across all our digital channels – including email (with appropriate segmentation), Social and app pushes
  • Setting up agreed offers through our loyalty app and reporting on results of these.
  • Using app and CRM data to understand local audiences
  • Social Media & Community Management
  • Assisting the social media executive with planning and executing posts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and LinkedIn


Website & SEO


· Creation of SEO-optimised web content

· Continual review and improvement of web performance

· Reporting on local SEO & planning activity to improve in key areas


Location:


You need to be able to get to our office in central Bristol at least 3 times a week.


There will also be a need to visit our restaurants across the UK (cost for travel away from Bristol is covered by Turtle Bay)


Hours:


Mon-Fri, usually 9am -5.30pm but this can be flexible.


Reporting to:


Digital Marketing Manager with additional stakeholders.
